Art: Literature: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Literature is one of the most lasting impression of a man in this world. And Homer is considered to be the oldest writer in the world, literarily. But if you'd rather read a more contemporary adventure story, Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" would fit the bill. If you'd rather see it on the screen, you're in luck! They made a film version of it, twice!
In the first paragraph of the Preface of Mark Twain's book, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", he wrote: "MOST of the adventures recorded in this book really occurred; one or two were experiences of my own, the rest those of boys who were schoolmates of mine."
And in the last paragraph he wrote: "Although my book is intended mainly for the entertainment of boys and girls, I hope it will not be shunned by men and women on that account, for part of my plan has been to try to pleasantly remind adults of what they once were themselves, and of how they felt and thought and talked, and what queer enterprises they sometimes engaged in."
So, whether you're still young at heart or truly young, I recommend your reading or watching it to remind yourself of those freer times when you were just a young boy.
Happy reminiscing!
